Enzyme preparations have been clinically tested as effective anti-inflammatory agents.  Such enzymes have been used to support the respiratory tract, pain and edema.  Proteolytic enzymes stimulate thrombolysis without suppressing the immune system.  Without immune compromise they decrease inflammation and accelerate the process of regeneration.  Proteolytic enzymes raise the fibrinolytic activity of the blood thereby promoting the lysis of micro thrombi.  Such action reduces edema by enhancing circulation, oxygenation and the removal of metabolic end products.

Proteotyic enzymes have been administered at extremely high levels for long periods of time without undesirable side effects or toxic reactions.  It is not advisable to ingest proteolytic enzymes in cases of hemorrhagic diathesis, hemophilia and acute hepatocirrhosis.  Though proteolytic enzymes accelerate the natural healing process, they should not be administered after surgery where adhesion is desirable.

Each micro-granulated Aprozyme tablet is pH sensitized to ensure the most efficacious release of enzymatic properties.
